How to get a good listing: Bribe the directory editors! Just kidding. Trying to bribe your way in is probably not the best way to go. You would probably just annoy the editor. If you can't seem to get an editor to accpet your site or give you the title/description you want try emailing the editor. Nicely describe the problem and tell them you appreciate them reviewing your request. Most editors would take kindly to this type of email and it may better your chances.

Frequency of updates: Once an editor accepts your site you can usually find your site in the directory within minutes. Although, it usually takes a week or two to see the positive results in the Dmoz search engine.
